Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for providing incredible guest service and member experiences by assisting with the day-to-day oversight of the maintenance and agronomic practices of the golf course and adjacent grounds. This includes managing the clubhouse landscaping and maintenance complex.

Responsibilities:
• Supervises and trains foreman, irrigation technicians, and other employees in the maintenance department.
• Prepares weekly schedules for foreman, irrigation staff, and other employees in the maintenance department.
• Monitors inventory of all maintenance equipment and the use of the equipment, including preventative maintenance schedules and safety training.
• Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping.
• Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for maintaining the golf course (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly fertilization, irrigation schedules, etc.).
• Calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers.
• Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines.
• Assists the Superintendent in informing members about present and future maintenance activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements:
Previous supervisory experience is a requirement for the position.
1–3 years of turfgrass management experience required.
Supervisory experience required.
A four-year college degree preferred, but not required.
GCSAA Member or apprentice preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of budgeting and expense management.
Must possess basic computer skills – Word and Excel.
Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business.
Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail.
Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
$52,000 – $60,000 per year.
