Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Chillicothe, Ohio is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, management, and overall condition of the golf course, including the greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping. The position will work closely with the General Manager and other staff to ensure the course remains in top condition, contributing to a positive experience for golfers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily maintenance operations of the golf course, ensuring optimal playing conditions.
• Manage and supervise the golf course maintenance team of 7, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement agronomic programs (fertilization, irrigation, pest management) to maintain turf health and course aesthetics.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning of irrigation systems and other infrastructure.
• Monitor weather patterns and adjust maintenance schedules accordingly.
• Work within the budget for maintenance operations, tracking expenses and recommending improvements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental and safety standards.
• Coordinate and work with course management on event preparations, course closures, and maintenance windows.
• Conduct regular inspections of the course to ensure high-quality standards for playability and safety.

Requirements:
Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly turf management practices.
Familiarity with advanced irrigation technology and computer-assisted maintenance
programs.
Bachelor’s degree in turf management or a two-year associate degree in agronomy, horticulture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience as a golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent in a similar setting.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, pest management, and equipment operation.
Leadership skills with experience managing a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with golf course members.

Preferred:
Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA) certification or equivalent.
Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly turf management practices.
Familiarity with advanced irrigation technology and computer-assisted maintenance.

Compensation:
$50,000 – $65,000 per year.
