Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will serve as an ambassador of the game of golf to the membership and the surrounding community. The ideal candidate for the position must be detail oriented, reliable, and passionate about their profession.

Responsibilities associated with the position include but are not limited to:
• Assisting with the merchandising planning and golf shop operation.
• Assisting with the tournament operation, training, and quality control of the outside services operation.
• Playing with the membership.
• Conducting both group and private instruction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Primary Scheduler and Quality Control Provider of the Outside Services Operation. Responsible for the training and assisting with the recruitment of the outside services staff.
• Maintain and contribute to an elite golf retail experience comparable to that of the top country clubs in the country. Research and
• Assist the Lead Assistant Golf Professional with the planning and execution of all golf related events and activities. Contribute to team planning sessions regarding the advancement of the tournament operation. Each member of the Professional Staff will be required to take the lead on at least one tournament throughout the golf season.
• Assist with Operation 36 Junior Golf Academy and other Junior Golf initiatives. Develop a teaching business while strengthening overall teaching abilities. Each member of the staff is responsible for contributing to the Golf Academy Publications and club instruction initiatives.
• Conduct Member club fittings and assist in the maintenance of an organized demo program.
• Displays Midwestern hospitality in all customer service interactions and establishes effective working relationships with other employees, members, and all guests or the public.
• Maintains a high standard of professionalism at and away from the club. Is trustworthy and honest when dealing with cash, members, and guests.
• Takes the role of ambassador seriously. Champions all club projects, is involved in section matters, and represents the club in a positive manner throughout the community.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be a motivated PGA Member/Associate focused on Professional Development and Career Advancement.
Must possess a playing ability that upholds a professional standard and have the desire to advance their instructional acumen.
Capable of executing various tasks utilizing club technology including Microsoft Office, Golf Genius, and Trackman.
Can interact with a variety of demographics regardless of age, gender, religious views, or socioeconomic background.

Compensation:
$25,000.00 – $35,000.00 per year.
