Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Lynchburg, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assists the Director of Golf in the management of day-to-day Golf Operations of the facility. They will be in charge of overseeing and scheduling inside service employees. They will manage inventory and all merchandising duties. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all members. Average work week in season will be 45-50 hours. In the offseason, it will drop to 35-40 hours (typically 4 days working and three days off).

Responsibilities:
• Assist with member check-in; control and manage play.
• Manage inside staff.
• Conduct individual lessons, junior, ladies, and group clinics.
• Manage inventory control of all goods, special orders, ordering procedures, receiving procedures, displays, and sales.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Assist the Director of Golf in managing tournament operations and weekly events, including planning, pre-tournament event sheets, post-tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow-up.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.

Requirements:
PGA Member or in the PGM program preferred but not required.
Golf Genius experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Recreation Management, Business Management, or related field preferred but not required.

Compensation:
$44,000.00 – $48,000.00 per year.
