Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Clementon, New Jersey is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Work closely with the Superintendent, Senior Assistant, and other assistants to direct, and monitor all maintenance aspects of the golf course. Candidates will have the opportunity to be a part of a golf operation that is continuously evolving with various construction projects taking place each year. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the proper handling, mixing, application of pesticides and fertilizers, and accurate recordkeeping. They will provide supervision and directly participate in the daily maintenance of the golf course.

Requirements:
Two or four-year degree/certificate in agronomy and/or soil science.
Must be able to obtain a New Jersey pesticide license in a timely manner.
Prior experience working on a golf course in a supervisory role preferred.
A team player who is capable of working with other assistants and crew members.
A detail-oriented individual.
Must have a passion for the turf industry with a strong desire to become a golf course superintendent.
Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in turf maintenance.
Must be willing to take directions and provide clear and concise directions to staff.
Must possess the ability to coordinate and complete tasks with little to no supervision.
Must be able to assist in scheduling, evaluating staff performance, and upholding safety standards.
Must be a self-starter and eager to learn.
Must be able to recognize and solve problems.
Must maintain high performance standards.

Compensation:
$20 – $22 per hour.
