Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Plymouth, Massachusetts is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Assists in the training of maintenance staff in equipment use and maintenance practices. In conjunction with the clubs maintenance practices and the Golf Superintendent, ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

Requirements:
2 or 4-year degree or certificate with a background in turfgrass/golf course management or a turf certificate from winter school.
1-2 years working on a golf course with experience in equipment maintenance, fertilizer and pesticide application, and crew supervision.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Required to have a current Massachusetts pesticide applicator license or obtain one within sixty days.
Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways, greens, the seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf, the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil amendments, herbicides and pest control methods and treatments. Irrigation practices for bentgrass greens/tees and fairways.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $75,000 per year.
