Golf Shop Assistant
Golf course in Portage, Michigan is looking for a Golf Shop Assistant.

Position Overview:
Work closely with golf professional staff. Creates a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. Responsible for being attentive to all members’ and guest’s needs while maintaining a clean & organized work environment. Relied upon to work efficiently within the operation while following the standards and expectations of the club.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Be a welcoming friendly face that engages with members and guests.
• Provide an organized, well-maintained golf shop to create a welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Tee sheet and POS daily management.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Supply ordering.
• Assist golf professional with merchandise displays and receiving inventory.
• Assist the golf professionals with special ordering and receiving.
• Demo club room organization.
• Learn the aspects of setting up tournaments and events.
• Learn the aspects of setting up special events and outings.
• Assist golf professional with weekly men’s and women’s league organization.
• Assist with the PGA Junior League team.
• Teaching opportunities during junior programming and clinics for the right individual.
• Produce social media content for the club as needed.
• Create promotional materials as needed for the club.
• Be a voice with ideas on how to enhance member satisfaction within the operation.
• Be resourceful and timely to find solutions when problem solving is necessary.
• Leader of the daily staff and operation when the professional staff is not available.

Compensation:
$16.00 – $18.00 per hour.
