Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Stowe, Vermont is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position will be a professional individual that will lead the day-to-day operations. The primary role of this position is to work directly with the assistant superintendent, equipment technician and seasonal crew in day-to-day maintenance and management of the golf course. The position will have full control of the seasonal staff. The Director of Agronomy makes recommendations and develops long-range plans, but on course decisions will be left primarily to the superintendent. The candidate needs to be proficient in timely decision making, multi-tasking, crew leadership and knowledge of golf maintenance practices. The position will be required to assist and/or lead project work including drainage, irrigation, construction, etc. The position will be responsible for managing the crew, job assignment, agronomic and cultural practices, chemical/fertilizer applications, and water management. Preference will be given to those that exhibit strong leadership traits and effective interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
Minimum associate’s degree in Turf Management, Plant Science, Horticulture, or related field of study required.
Minimum five years as an assistant superintendent.
VT pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within first season of employment.

Compensation:
$80,000 per year.
