2nd Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in North Charleston, South Carolina is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist the Golf Professional in providing the following:
• Provide hospitality and good will among the members and guests and enthusiastically promote Club tournaments and events.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the golf shop, checking in golf players, answering phones, booking tee times, promote golf merchandise sales and ringing up charges.
• Actively monitor and maintain Club’s pace of play policy to ensure an enjoyable round of golf for all members and guests.
• Interpret and enforce Rules of Golf and Club Rules & Regulations.
• Provide announcements and updates on golf activities and events to the membership through the Club’s newsletter, email blasts, flyers and website.
• Ability to develop, maintain and implement operational plans to achieve budgeted criteria for golf operations.
• Strong organizational and accounting skills will be needed to oversee all aspects of the golf operations and shop inventory.
• Responsible for inventory controls, assigning merchandise sku’s, checking in items and displaying merchandise in the Golf Shop in a timely manner. This also includes maintaining a well stocked and organized golf shop.
• Provide professional golf instruction, clinics and coaching to the members and guests in accordance to PGA standards.
• Responsible for implementing adult and junior golf programs as outlined in the PGA coaching guide.
• Oversee all aspects of the Golf Operation and staff to assure proper performance while following proper policies and procedures.
• Oversee all member and outside golf tournaments and events to ensure an exceptional tournament experience for all members and guests.
• Hire, train and supervise golf operations staff to ensure member and guest satisfaction on a daily basis.

Requirements:
Proficiency in electronic tee-sheet/POS management (Jonas).
Proficiency in GHIN handicap system and Golf Genius Tournament software.
Proficiency in word and excel.
Knowledge of Tournament operations and USGA rules.
College Degree preferred.
Enrolled in PGA PGM program preferred.

Compensation:
$20.00 per hour.
