1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Pawleys Island, South Carolina is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Supervise Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff.
• Train new Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff.
• Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
• Coordinate and administer the daily work schedule of the pro shop staff and outside services staff.
• Manage the staff in their maintenance of daily cash receipts and accounts receivable charges.
• Order merchandise for sale in the pro shop.
• Assist in developing and managing an innovative tournament program that services all members and outside play.
• Assist with golf instruction and golfer development programs in conjunction with the Golf Academy.
• Assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, acting as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service, or golf shop shifts.
• Perform other duties as required under the direction of the head golf professional and general manager.

Requirements:
Must partner with management to promote and operate the facility in a way to drive revenue.
1-2 years of golf industry experience.
Leadership skills; the ability to lead people.
Strong customer orientation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Management skills; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Basic computer proficiency and skills.
PGA apprentice or member preferred.
Experience with municipal, private, or semi-private golf courses.
High-volume golf facility experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work well under pressure.
Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
Must be highly detail-oriented.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have excellent listening skills.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and associates.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Compensation:
$13.00 – $15.00 per hour.
