Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Plays a vital role in supporting the Head Golf Professional in all aspects of the golf operation. This includes providing exceptional customer service to members and guests, assisting with golf instruction, conducting tournaments and events, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Instruction:
o Assist the Head Golf Professional with golf instruction programs for all ages and skill levels, including group and private lessons.
o Conduct junior golf clinics and camps.
o May be responsible for conducting playing lessons and on-course instruction.
• Tournament Operations:
o Assist in the planning and execution of all club tournaments and events, including member-guest outings, club championships, and charity events.
o Manage tournament registrations, pairings, and scoring.
o Oversee tournament setup and breakdown.
o Ensure the smooth and efficient running of all tournament operations.
• Customer Service:
o Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
o Assist members with tee times, course information, and any other inquiries.
o Resolve any customer service issues promptly and professionally.
o Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times.
• Merchandise Sales:
o Assist with the management of the golf shop inventory, including ordering, receiving, and displaying merchandise.
o Assist with the sale of merchandise to members and guests.
o Provide knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Professional Development:
o Continuously develop professional skills through continuing education courses and seminars.
o Maintain a high level of knowledge of the rules of golf and USGA guidelines.
o Ability to play with members and guests, which provides an above and beyond customer service experience.
• Other Duties as Assigned:
o Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional, including administrative tasks, club events, and special projects.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Golf Management or related field preferred.
PGA of America membership or in the process of obtaining membership is highly preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Golf Professional or Assistant Golf Professional in a private club setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:
$50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year.
