Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Madison, New Jersey is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Responsibilities Required of Assistant include but are not limited to:
• Working closely with the superintendent.
• Possess a strong knowledge base for the daily maintenance of a golf course including, but not limited to hand watering, operating and troubleshooting of a RainBird irrigation system, pesticide and fertilizer applications, record keeping, IPM measures, equipment operation and golf course set up.
• Necessary to work flexible schedule based on the needs of course in all weather conditions.
• Planning and implementing cultural practices for all playing surfaces.
• Effective scheduling of daily jobs to crew is vital to maximize time
• Effectively communicate with employees and clubhouse personnel to keep an open line of communication and understanding of the status of the golf course.
• Accurately perform chemical and fertilizer applications to all golf course entities including greens, tees, fairways, bunker faces, roughs and natives.

Requirements:
Potential candidate must have a minimum 2 years experience in turf industry.
High school diploma and turf certificate or degree in turf related field.
Must obtain NJ Pesticide License within 90 days of hire date.
Turf Degree/Certificate from an Accredited Turf Management Program.
2 years experience in the turf industry.
Has or is willing to acquire a NJ Pesticide License.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about golf and highly motivated with a good attitude.

Compensation:
$65,000 per year.
401k with company matching half up to 6%.
Continuing education (turf conferences, seminars, classes, etc.)
Eligible for bi-annual performance bonus (June and November).
Holiday Bonus.
Golfing privileges.
Uniform allowance.
PTO to be taken between December 10th-March 15th.
