Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Bonita Springs, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Entrusted with the maintenance, operations, and management of the golf course and carefully manage the maintenance inputs to the golf course while conserving and protecting natural resources. They directly influence the playing areas and landscapes with which golfers interact. Work closely with and report directly to the General Manager. The chosen individual will be responsible for the daily operations of one 18-hole golf course and practice facilities. This includes scheduling of crew members and tasks to ensure the best possible playing conditions during season as well as proper agronomic methods and procedures during our summer closure.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following:
• Active Pesticide Application License in the state of Florida required.
• GCSAA designation a plus.
• Entrusted with the maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course, common grounds landscaping and related grounds equipment.
• Assist in the interviewing, hiring, training, directing and supervising the golf course maintenance and common ground personnel.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the annual budgets and capital improvement projects applying his or her agronomic and administrative expertise to achieve the agreed-upon maintenance standards and long-range goals.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the maintenance and construction of the putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants for the golf course and common ground.
• Ensures that they and all associates obtain proper training and/or licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations. Addresses directly all real or perceived environmental concerns.
• Ensures proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemical/fertilizers used on the course.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Accurate recording keeping of inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures, pesticide applications, etc.
• Reconciles and provides timely coding of all invoices, payroll and other required documents.
• Identifying, evaluating, and recommending corrective action for agronomic problem areas.
• Adheres to all OSHA safety requirements.
• Keen eye for attention to detail.
• Participating in golf-related committee meetings.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by General Manager.

Requirements:
A degree in turf management or related field of study is required.
GCSAA Certification and Pesticide Certification preferred.
A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership/management experience as a Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Compensation:
$120,000 – $150,000 per year.
