Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Rexford, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to facilitate the operation to present the golf course as it was intended to be played with the ground game in mind and in a tournament-ready manner.

Duties:
• He/she will manage, delegate, train, direct and support the team to maintain the golf course at the highest quality possible at all times.
• Chemical and fertilizer applications and accurate record keeping.
• Irrigation maintenance, troubleshooting and programming.
• Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with labor tracking and labor efficiency.
• Aid in the hiring process and staff development mentorship.

Requirements:
Candidates ideally have a 2-4 year degree or certificate in turfgrass management, horticulture or similar but will consider those with years of experience in golf course maintenance with the hopes of pursuing a degree/certificate in the above.
The qualified candidates will have 2-3 years of golf course experience including management of staff and chemical and fertilizer applications.
More importantly they must carry themselves in a professional and positive manner at all times and demonstrate a sense of pride and embrace a team-oriented culture.
Must have a New York Pesticide license or the ability to obtain one immediately.

Compensation:
$50,000 – $70,000 per year.
