Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Rockport, Maine is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
We are a facility searching for eager PGA Professionals, Associates or anyone getting into the golf business with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Essential Responsibilities
-Work opening and closing shifts at Goose River

-Maintain driving range (gather golf balls from hitting area, maintain cleanliness, etc)

-Responsible for operating ForeUp, Golf Genius, PGA Jr League, First Tee program, Adult Ed, and all other activities performed at Goose River

-Responsible for golf shop cleanliness and restocking all goods sold

-Operating cash drawers

-Supervise day-to-day activities of Golf House personnel such as golf shop attendants, interns, etc.

-Oversee and manage all tournament operations

-Assist members and guest with any questions that relate to Goose River’s operations, such as cart and guest fees

-Knowledge of all major golf vendors/manufacturers that the club carries to ensure they are educated and trained with all programs

-Work with maintenance staff including effectively communicating and coordinating events

-Assist with the purchasing, pricing, stocking, display and inventory management of Goose River’s merchandise/food & drink, making recommendations and assisting in the implementation of enhancements that meet the needs of members and guests and increase sales and profitability

-Interpret and implement the rules and regulations governing both regular and golf activity at Goose River

-Play golf with the membership on site and outside events such as but not limited to Pro-Ams

Requirements
No experience is required. A knowledge of the game of golf is a priority. We prefer someone who plays golf and is a single digit handicap, however this is not necessary.

Compensation
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour.
