Golf Shop Manager
Golf course in Vero Beach, Florida is looking for a Golf Shop Manager.

Position Overview:
Oversee daily operations, deliver exceptional member service, and lead the retail team. This full-time, year-round position offers attractive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Lead a professional team, manage daily operations, and ensure a premium retail and golf experience for our members and guests for a golf shop with over $2 million in sales annually.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Selects, trains, and supervises golf shop staff.
• Builds rapport with members, strives to understand their needs and preferences.
• Selects and purchases merchandise for the shop, specializing in soft goods.
• Collaborates with the Director of Golf Operations to align merchandise offerings with programs, tournaments, and on-course needs.
• Identifies vendors to fulfill merchandise needs, manages relationships, and pricing.
• Creates attractive merchandising displays to maximize sales and product turnover.
• Plans, promotes, merchandises, and markets special events and sales.
• Manages full inventory lifecycle, including forecasting, purchasing, receiving, tagging, storing, and reconciling merchandise; conducts regular audits to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
• Manages vendor returns, warranty claims, and damaged goods to ensure timely resolution of issues. Maintains & submits billing charges promptly.
• Assists members with merchandise selections and special orders.

Requirements:
3-5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a golf retail setting preferred.
Knowledge of retail merchandising and utilization of all sales tools.
Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS system, Jonas preferred.
Design skills, with an understanding of clothing and accessory styling and color.
Ability to forecast sales and profits and work within budget constraints.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated tact and diplomacy.
Ability to communicate and assist members in a courteous and friendly manner.
Customer-focused with ability to provide personalized sales assistance to upscale, discerning customers.
