Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf course in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
Candidates will have the opportunity to be a part of a golf operation that is consistently trying to improve, with various construction projects taking place each year. The assistant in training will work closely with assistant superintendents, and the superintendent to plan, direct, and oversee all maintenance aspects of the golf course. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude, be highly motivated, reliable, eager to learn, have a keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to advance in the golf maintenance industry. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the proper handling, mixing and application of pesticides and fertilizers, along with detail record keeping and inventory. This is a hands-on position that will provide supervision and participation in all daily maintenance activities on the golf course.

Requirements:
Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, or enrolled in an online turf management program.
Some experience is preferred but not required.
Must have a positive attitude with an eagerness to learn.
Must be a team player, ready to assist with any tasks that arise.
Must be passionate about the turf industry with aspirations to become an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Must understand common concepts, practices, and procedures in turf maintenance.
Must be a self-starter capable of completing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
Must consistently uphold high performance standards.

Compensation:
Insurance after 90 days (medical, dental, vision, life).
Paid time off after 90 days.
