Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Denver, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Conduct standard-level golf professional work assisting the Head Golf Professional in devising, coordinating, and promoting daily play and tournament activities, golf lessons, pro shop operations, merchandising, and golf cart fleet operations. It takes a dedicated team of professionals to ensure Denver’s iconic courses can be enjoyed for generations to come. You will play a key role in Denver Golf’s mission to be a national leader in the golf industry regarding accessibility, diversity, environmental stewardship, and building the game for the future.

Specifically, you will:
• Assist the head golf professional with the design, marketing, and implementation of golf programs that result in increased course revenues and enhanced customer service.
• Enforce golf course rules and regulations and maintain standards and policies.
• Assist in creating high-profile lesson programs to attract large numbers of golfers to our golf courses and related facilities.
• Assist in coordinating daily play, tournaments, and other golf activities to balance play and course conditions, provide maximum service, and enhance per-round revenues.
• Administer pro shop operations including product merchandising, receiving incoming shipments, calculating wholesale and retail prices, entering shipments into inventory, and maintaining sales displays.
• Rotate merchandise among facilities regularly.
• Ensure proper documentation for merchandise transfers, conduct regular physical inventories, and maintain accurate inventory and sales records.
• Prepare an annual buying plan based on sales data analysis and industry trends, and complete purchase orders for pro shop invoices.
• Assist in managing golf cart fleet operations including staging, daily maintenance, and upkeep.
• Perform lead work and training of golf shop personnel, cart attendants, and on-course rangers and starters.
• Assist in managing driving range operations.

Requirements:
Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of experience in the golf industry.
Education and Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
License/Certification Requirement: Class “A” membership in the PGA/LPGA at the time of application. This membership status must be maintained while holding a Golf Professional 1st Assistant position as a condition of employment
OR
Enrollment in a program to attain class “A” PGA/LPGA membership status at the time of application or by the end of probation. Enrollment in a program must be continuous, and satisfactory progress otherwise maintained until class “A” membership is attained.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Ideal:
Experience using a computerized POS system.
Experience with tournament management.
Experience with merchandise management.
Experience with tee sheet management.
Both inside and outside golf experience including personnel management and supervision, vendor relations, back-of-house operations, and instruction.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:
$58,656.00 – $96,782.00 per year.
