Assistant Boys Golf Coach
School athletics program in Colorado Springs, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Boys Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
As a school athletic coach, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the physical, mental, and emotional development of students through sports. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring student-athletes, creating a positive and inclusive team environment, and ensuring they reach their full athletic potential while maintaining a strong commitment to academics. This role is crucial in promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and character development.

Essential Duties/Functions:
• Reports for work as scheduled.
• Adheres to all Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 Board of Education policies, state rules, and regulations.
• Meets performance standards as identified in the District Evaluation Process.
• Plans, organizes, and conducts practices and training sessions.
• Analyze game performances, provide constructive feedback, and make strategic adjustments.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive, season-long training program.
• Plans strategies, and chooses team members for each competition.
• Provides instruction and training in the rules and regulations of the sport being taught.
• Directs, encourages, and motivates athletes to prepare for competitions.
• Cares for athletes and injured athletes.
• Cares for and maintains equipment and annual inventories.
• Attends job-related meetings and activities specified by the principal or the district administration.
• Provides leadership in creating healthful human relationships that will provide a suitable climate for learning and participation.
• Serves as a positive role model for students, staff, and the community.
• Schedules and manages team competitions, games, and tournaments.
• Communicate with parents, guardians, and the community to provide updates and support for the program.
• Attend coaching workshops, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes at all times.

Requirements:
Criminal background check required for hire.
Experience as a high school or comparable club-level coach is preferred.
Experience working with adults and adolescents as a coach, teacher, or mentor is required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
