1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Houston, Texas is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential duties include but are not limited to arranging tee times at other pre-approved golf courses, hosting play away days, traveling with members and collaborating to elevate the golf experience at the club.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide the highest level of service to the membership and their guests.
• Responsible for mixed, social, and junior golf events.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Responsible for day-to-day golf operations.
• Provide lessons for all skill levels.
• Oversee inside staff and starter/rangers.
• Staff scheduling.
• Inventory control.
• Have knowledge of merchandise and develop selling skills.
• Be willing to learn, take direction, and develop skills.
• Practice and play the game with members of different groups.

Requirements:
High school graduate (required).
Enrolled in the PGA program.
A desire to move up within the golf industry.
Basic knowledge of daily golf course operations, USGA rules, handicap, course rating system, mechanics and techniques of golf swing, and general game of golf.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Teaching and club-fitting experience.
Tournament operations.

Compensation:
$44,000.00 – $48,000.00 per year.
