Assistant Golf Shop Manager
Golf Course in Palm Beach, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Shop Manager.

Position Overview:
Assist the Golf Shop Manager in overseeing all functions within the Golf Shop. This position will develop employee schedules, manage inventories, and handle member orders and merchandise delivery. This position reports directly to the Golf Shop Manager and Head Golf Professional.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Establish employee schedules for review and approval by the Golf Shop Manager.
• Receive and count inventory, merchandise, and coordinate floor plan layout for the coming season.
• Create merchandise displays that attract members to available goods.
• Help members and guests with all purchases and past purchase history requests, guiding them through their merchandise purchase decisions.
• Manage the physical inventory, special merchandise orders, and all other Pro Shop goods orders/requests.
• Answer phones, assisting customers with golf lesson bookings, tee time reservations, and other club policy questions.
• Work closely with the Golf Shop Manager, Head Professional, and staff in all aspects of the daily retail operation.
• Work closely with the accounting office on accounts receivable and payable issues.
• Stay up to date on best practices in the daily running of the Golf Shop.

Requirements:
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
A minimum of four years’ experience working in a retail environment, preferably with two of those four years being a lead or management role.
Previous experience working in a golf, country club, or high-end resort is preferred.
Prior experience with Jonas Club Software, Microsoft Office, and the internet is desired.
Must possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and extreme attention to detail.
Must be polished, professional, friendly, and have the ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation:
$30.00 per hour.
