2nd Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Rapid City, South Dakota is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Work within the stated guidelines of the facility to aid in the planning, organizing, promoting, conducting, scheduling and developing of all programs and operations. This is a full-time, year-round position. The position will require an outstanding golf professional who is energetic, engaging, possesses excellent communication skills, focused on the member experience and has high career aspirations. This position will be heavily involved with the operation and other team members. This position will be working in the following capacities: tournament operations, Golf Shop operations, junior golf programs, golf instruction, and outside operations.

Job Responsibilities:
• Aid in the supervision and management of the total golf operation.
• Engage with members in a professional manner and provide a member experience consistent with the operation’s service standards.
• Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with methods, policies, and procedures of the golf course professional staff.
• Aid in the supervision, scheduling, and training of outside golf staff as directed by the Director of Golf.
• Assist in all club repair operations and grip inventory control.
• Aid in promoting and marketing all golf operations programming and events.
• Oversee all couples golf programming, events, and activities.
• Provide members with extensive knowledge on all hard goods and apparel sold in the Golf Shop. Conduct club fittings.
• Act as liaison to all outside and charity events held at the golf course. Assist in planning and managing all member events.
• Engage with all demographics of members by playing golf with different groups regularly.
• Represent the golf course throughout the community and section to enhance the Golf Staff image for the golf course.
• Seek and attend continuing educational opportunities.

Requirements:
1+ years of experience as an Assistant Professional.
Private Club experience preferred but not mandatory.
PGA Class A Member or enrolled in PGA Associate Program or PGM University Program.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and well organized.
History of teaching private golf instruction.

Compensation:
$18.00 per hour.
