Head Boys Golf Coach
School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is looking for a Head Boys Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Leadership
o Coaches the varsity squad.
o Supervises assistant coaches for grades 9-12.
o Determines athlete participation during practices and games.
o Positively promotes the athletic program within the school and community.
o Provides guidance to middle school coaches and feeder programs.
o Implements district athletic department policies.
2. Assistant Coach Selection & Evaluation
o Assists in hiring and assessing assistant coaches.
3. Athletic Coordination
o Works with the Coordinator of Athletics and Activities Principal on:
 Game schedules.
 Selection of contest officials.
 Travel arrangements for away games.
 Physical examinations and eligibility lists.
 Budget preparation and equipment requisitions.
 Athletic insurance solicitation.
 Scouting arrangements.
 Facility planning and modifications.
 Middle school clinics and coaching support.
 Monogram Club direction.
4. Practice & Game Management
o Coordinates practice schedules for all squad levels.
o Supervises dressing rooms and playing areas.
o Travels with students and supervises them during away games.
5. Athlete & Equipment Care
o Provides care for athletes, including injury management.
o Maintains equipment and conducts annual inventories.
6. Administrative Duties
o Prepares award lists and collects athletic fees.
o Attends conference meetings and follows SDHSAA policies.
o Works closely with custodians to maintain facilities.
o Keeps up with coaching trends and participates in clinics.
o Maintains active membership in professional organizations.
o Organizes team participation lists for athletic contests.
o Maintains strong relationships with other coaches.
7. Additional Responsibilities:
o Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or Coordinator of Athletics.

Requirements:
BA/BS Education preferred.
High school head coaching experience desired.
Fundamentals of Coaching or Equivalent (must be completed one time);
Sports First Aid or Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries or equivalent (must be renewed once every two years);
Concussion in Sports – What You Need to Know (must be renewed on an annual basis.
