Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf Course in Los Angeles, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
Play a key role in maintaining and caring for the golf course and grounds. Working closely with the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds, Superintendents, and Assistant Superintendents, this is a transitional role designed for professional growth in the golf course industry.

Position Responsibilities:
• Responsible for course setup (hole locations, tee markers, trash removal, and detail work).
• Assist in applying herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other chemicals.
• Apply fertilizers using various application equipment.
• Handle irrigation system repairs and maintenance.
• Implement daily water requirements for both warm and cool-season grasses.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as walk mowing, bunker work, and trimming.
• Actively pursue professional growth by engaging in industry seminars, workshops, and training.

Requirements:
Completed or in the process of obtaining a degree/certificate in turf management or a related field.
Knowledge of chemical/fertilizer applications and soil conditioners.
Ability to understand business and technical documents, regulations, and reports.
Ability to operate mowers, carts, and heavy equipment.
Must be able to obtain a CA state pesticide applicator’s license.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Basic computer skills.

Compensation:
$23 – $26 per hour.
