Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Roland, Arkansas is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The primary role is to support the Superintendent in overseeing daily golf course maintenance operations. Initial Priorities of Position
• Support daily operations and team leadership.
• Maintain high-quality turf and playing conditions.
• Assist in ongoing staff development and team culture.
• Begin preparations and planning related to upcoming irrigation system renovations.
Key Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitude
• Assist in managing all aspects of course maintenance.
• Lead and train crew members, ensuring effective and safe practices.
• Monitor turf health and maintenance scheduling.
• Contribute to record-keeping, budget tracking, and planning.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent to execute long-term agronomic goals.

Essential Functions:
• In conjunction with the Superintendent, direct and oversee staff in daily activities, monitoring quality and ensuring procedures are followed.
• Serve as liaison between staff and management.
• Supervise training programs and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage IPM program, including pesticide/fertilizer applications and records.
• Assist with interviews and evaluations.
• Coordinate specialty equipment use and development.
• Oversee pump stations and infrastructure.
• Administer onboarding and safety programs.
• Maintain greens data (speed, firmness, etc.).

Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance.
• Support grounds crew as needed.
• Attend professional development events.
• Recommend procedural improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
Certificate in Turfgrass Management (required).
1–3 years of golf course maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a pesticide license.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, turf practices, and equipment use.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation:
$56,000 per year.
