Golf Shop Assistant
Golf Course in Rolling Hills Estates, California is looking for a Golf Shop Assistant.

Position Overview:
Responsible for assisting the Golf Professional Staff with the day-to-day operations of the Golf shop and Outside Services Department by administering the day-to-day Golf Shop duties. This includes administering point of sale transactions, retail and merchandising, answering calls, and assisting in running the check-in process for the first tee.

Duties:
• Monitor the upkeep of the Golf Shop, making sure it is always kept neat and clean.
• Administer point of sales transactions and maintain the day-to-day golf reservation systems by reserving tee times, checking in customers, and receiving payments.
• Work closely with the Starter to monitor all aspects of play, including starting and monitoring pace of play.
• Accurately reconcile the golf tee sheet at the end of each shift.
• Keep a working knowledge of all upcoming tournaments and programs to provide accurate information to members.
• Maintain records of daily play on the golf course and other data as directed.
• Assist with maintaining the data management system within the point-of-sales software.
• Maintain professional appearance and set example for all staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Golf Professional Staff.

Requirements:
Must possess excellent people skills and be able to handle customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
Ability to engage the members and their guests when they walk into the Golf Shop.
Have prior knowledge of the game of golf and be passionate about the game.
Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task calmly and effectively, as well as follow-up, in a busy, ever-changing environment.
Ability to work all shifts – schedule flexibility based on calendar of events.
Ability to work independently, as well as with others, in a group or team environment.
Able to follow all procedures and safety manuals.

Compensation:
$16.50 – $19.00 per hour.
