Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Serves as the ambassador for golf at the club, overseeing all facets of the golf operation. This individual must provide visionary leadership, anticipate member needs, and ensure every aspect of the golf experience meets the club’s high standards. Key responsibilities include managing the golf shop, planning events and tournaments, leading a team of professionals, and collaborating with other departments to deliver a seamless experience.

Golf Operations Leadership:
• Direct and oversee all golf operations, including golf shop management, staff training, outside services, and practice/training facilities.
• Ensure the tee sheet is efficiently managed, optimizing pace of play and member enjoyment.
• Coordinate with the Course Superintendent to maintain optimal course conditions and resolve any maintenance concerns.
• Delegate tasks to the appropriate staff members to ensure high-efficiency at a fast-paced club.

Member Engagement and Experience:
• Serve as the face of golf, maintaining a highly visible presence and fostering relationships with members of all skill levels.
• Plan and execute a robust calendar of golf events, including tournaments, leagues, and junior programs.
• Deliver exceptional teaching and coaching services, designing clinics and lessons for all ages and abilities.
• Implement programs that aid in continuing strong member engagement while seeking ways to find opportunities for improvements.

Team Development and Mentorship
• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing golf staff, emphasizing professional development and service excellence.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.

Merchandising and Financial Management:
• Oversee the golf shop’s merchandising program, ensuring a curated selection of quality products and strong financial performance.
• Work closely with the tenured merchandiser to ensure the order levels and product selection is appropriate for our Membership.
• Manage the golf department budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with club goals.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Keep the golf program fresh, relevant, and engaging by introducing new initiatives and incorporating member feedback.
• Regularly assess and refine operational processes to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the staff to encourage team involvement in finding new, exciting ideas to share with the membership.

Requirements:
Must maintain visibility and approachability, engaging with members on the course, in the shop, and during club events.
A strong focus on mentorship, team development, and innovation is essential to the role.
