Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Batesburg, South Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Initial Priorities of Position:
• Integrate with other assistants and build rapport with the team.
• Assist in ongoing projects such as clubhouse landscaping, lighting, irrigation and walkpath installation.
• Work alongside the Director of Greens and Grounds to review summer cultivation plans.
• Collaborate with Course Superintendent and other Assistants to create work schedules and job boards.

Gain exposure in:
• Managing 3.5 acres of TifEagle ultradwarf bermudagrass.
• Managing 85 acres of Tahoma31 bermudagrass tees and fairways.
• Operation and maintenance of Rainbird 2-wire irrigation system with Watertronics pump station.
• Drainage design, installation, and repair.
• Turfgrass cultivation and grooming (topdressing, aerification, verticutting, etc.).
• Chemical/fertilizer calibration and application.
• Native area seeding, establishment, and management.
• Daily crew management and scheduling.
• Budgeting, payroll, and management training.
• Professional development and leadership training.
• Tournament volunteering at professional events throughout the United States.
• A large industry network of experts in the golf course maintenance sector.

Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate or Degree in Turfgrass Science/Management or similar field.
Three to five years’ experience on a golf course. Management experience is a plus.

Compensation:
$58,000 – $65,000 per year.
