Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Avon, Connecticut is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Work alongside a dedicated team to deliver an exceptional golf experience to the members and guests of the club. Specific responsibilities include a focus on our busy Member Tournament Program as well as all aspects of the hard goods business in the Golf Shop. All other roles are consistent in supporting the overall needs of the golf operation.

• Take a lead role in Men’s and Women’s tournament programs, instruction, clubfitting, merchandising, outings, daily charges, outside operations, website/app/email development, club repair, and playing golf with members.
• Provide a high level of customer service in all areas of the golf operation including outside operations, and managing daily play.
• Assist the Director of Instruction with junior golf camps, clinics, and PGA Junior League Teams.
• What you’ll learn and experience:
o Serving and connecting with our friendly membership who value club employees.
o Teaching a membership using Trackman 4 and TPS software.
o Playing the game with a membership that’s passionate about golf.
o Having a critical role in our Junior Golf Program, using the principles of the ADM Model and Operation 36.
o Clubfitting members using 4 of the major manufacturers systems.
o Merchandising in an award winning and active golf shop featuring brands like KJUS, Peter Millar, Greyson, Polo RLX, Dunning, Johnnie-O, Winston Collection, Antas, Signs by the Sea, and more.
o Leading a golf staff of 18 associates; recruit, hire, and inspire.
o Learning the Financial & Budgeting skills through assisting with the management of operating and capital budgets.
o Taking a lead role in the execution of 52 member golf tournaments using the exciting features of Golf Genius Premium software.
o Creating memorable experiences for clients during 26 corporate and charity golf outings.
o Polishing communication skills through member email announcements, and social media strategies.
o Work alongside an award-winning staff of PGA Professionals.

Requirements:
Class A PGA Member or Experienced PGA Associate.
Team Player.
Proactive Self-Starter.
Strong desire to become a Head Golf Professional.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High energy & enthusiasm.
Strong work ethic.
Solid judgment and ability to anticipate members’ and guests’ needs.
Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in others.

Proficient in all aspects of tournament operations.
Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Golf Genius).

Compensation:
$65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
