Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Greensboro, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is entrusted with the daily operations of the golf shop relating to tee sheet supervision, enforcing pace of play, supervising the Golf Shop Manager and cart attendants, weekly monitoring of the handicap computer, tournament management, and monthly inventory accountability. Works as a viable part of the golf shop team. A positive member and guest relation experience is critical to the overall image of the club.

The scope of the below-mentioned responsibilities only outline a fraction of the job duties required and are not limited to:
• Assists members, prospective members, and guests including but not limited to tee time reservations, checking in members and their guests, club information, golf rates, and club policies.
• Responsible for developing and conducting a comprehensive instructional program focusing on the use of Operation 36 for ladies and juniors.
• Maintains a very clean and well-displayed golf shop. Assists in selection of men’s and women’s apparel.
• Provides daily tee sheet and guest information to both inside and outside staff members.
• Coordinates with the outside operations manager on a weekly basis to determine staffing levels for upcoming events while keeping customer service as the main priority.
• Assists the head golf professional with all member and outside tournaments and monthly inventory counts.
• Maintains an accurate filing system for tournament operations, special orders, club repair and schedules.
• Provides a range of staff and operational support to job-related activities such as golf tournaments, pace of play, merchandising and inventory.
• Is present at all major member tournaments.
• Help with the SMGA and SWGA leagues.

Requirements:
Must be working towards membership or have membership in the PGA of America.
Working knowledge of Golf Genius Tournament Software.
Working knowledge in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of Operation 36 program.
Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
