Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Chewelah, Washington is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
As a member of the Golf Management Team the Head Golf Professional has responsibility for the overall management of the daily golf operation while working cooperatively with other departments to include but not limited to the following:
• Ensure that all players are aware of and comply with the designated rules for on-course conduct, including customary golf etiquette and the rules of golf.
• Propose and enforce policies for on-course conduct and local rules.
• Participate in all long-range planning meetings, board meetings, Finance Committee meetings, and other appropriate committee meetings as directed by the Director of Golf Operations.
• Coordinate operations with the Director of Golf, Grounds Manager, and F&B Manager.
• Manage the flow of play to ensure reasonable playing times.
• Interact with fellow employees, board members, club membership, and the public with dignity and respect at all times.
• Ensure that all players have paid the appropriate fees for participation.
• Oversee the management of the Driving Range, Golf Cart Rental Fleet, RV Park, and Pro-Shop in the absence of the Director of Golf.
• Maintain an approved procedure for accepting and scheduling tee times.
• Maintain an approved procedure for contact with all players/customers, from bag drop to informing of course rules, food and beverage services available, pace of play, and after play activities with the goal of providing outstanding customer service.
• In conjunction with the Director of Golf Operations, participate in maintaining and updating the golf course website to ensure current and accurate information, including daily responses to email inquiries.
• Make appropriate scheduling arrangements and on-course supervision for tournament play.
• Participate in coordinating the club’s marketing and promotional efforts demonstrating a strong commitment to increasing club revenue.
• Develop and maintain mechanisms to gauge the success of marketing efforts.
• Collect, receive, and analyze feedback from golfers and users of the facility regarding their experiences with the facilities, personnel, and services.
• Maintain harmony among staff and resolve grievances.
• Conduct and document monthly safety meetings which all Pro Shop staff are required to attend.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional development by maintaining membership in the appropriate golf professional associations and uphold the ideals of the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) in both personal and professional conduct.
• Develop and maintain a strong program for junior golf participation.
• Demonstrate cooperation with and assistance to ladies’ and men’s clubs and their respective events and functions.
• Encourage participation of fellow golf professionals and their membership in the activities and promotions.
• Provide professional golf instruction as requested.
• Develop and manage an innovative tournament program, group outings, and leagues that service all customer segments.
• Oversee the operations of a well-managed practice facility.
• Administer the Rules of Golf and educate staff. Promote and provide Rules of Golf clinics to the membership.

Requirements:
Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification.
Actively pursue PGA membership (if a PGA Associate) in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program (Level two minimum).
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market.
Service and customer-focused attitude.
Experienced in written and oral business communications.
Remain up-to-date on customer relationship management tactics and strategies.
Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Golf Genius.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
Attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows to keep abreast of marketing and business trends.
Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.
Basic first aid and CPR/AED training and certification.

Compensation:
$30.00 – $35.00 per hour.
