Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Sullivan, Missouri is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Oversee and manage golf shop and clubhouse operations, promoting an exceptional “golf experience” and providing excellent services and programs to all patrons. This position is classified as FLSA Exempt.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, including assistants, starters, course advisors, and clubhouse personnel.
• Implement policies and procedures, including regular scheduling of weekly staff meetings.
• Ensure the performance and oversight of golf shop operations and clubhouse services.
• Manage the rental and maintenance of golf carts and the reservation system, ensuring proper scheduling and monitoring of play.
• Oversee tracking and verification of all players and guests, golf carts, club care, lockers, handicap fees, and other charges, ensuring proper controls.
• Administer and enforce the handicap program and all rules governing course usage.
• Develop and manage an innovative tournament program and oversee the golf instruction and golfer development programs.
• Maintain partnerships with the Superintendent, management company, and department heads.
• Operate shifts including opening and closing the golf shop, as required by budgetary goals and seasonality.
• Execute marketing and promotion of new memberships, outings, and daily play.
• Assist in budget preparation and review of revenues and expenses.
• Oversee a profitable merchandise and food & beverage concession, including all related purchases.
• Implement cash and system controls to safeguard assets, inventory, and resources.
• Approve staff time sheets/payroll, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Oversee fiscal responsibilities for golf operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and corrective management.
• Lead marketing initiatives including promotional materials, website updates, email marketing, social media, and external events.
• Supervise inventories and display of merchandise/food & beverage.
• Compile market competition studies for strategic positioning.
• Maintain and promote a professional image within the community.

Compensation:
$60,000.00 per year.
