Head Golf Professional
Golf course in Wamego, Kansas is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the golf experience at the club. They manage all golf staff including pro shop manager, pro shop staff, cart staff, starters or marshals. The golf professional works closely with the general manager, clubhouse manager, golf course superintendent and assistant golf course superintendents to ensure that the members’ golf experience is top notch each day. They are responsible for recruiting, scheduling and running our tournaments and outings. The golf professional organizes, schedules and runs the leagues. Always trying to find fun and innovative ways to keep the leagues fun and fresh. They also advertise, organize and run the junior golf academy sessions. Teaching the game of golf to our members and the youth needs to be a high priority of the golf professional. The position will consist of 24 – 30 hours running the golf shop each week. The golf professional is responsible for searching for and securing tournament sponsorships for each calendar year.

Requirements:
Class A PGA Professional or Associate in good standing with a history of proven performance at the highest level is preferred.
A verifiable record of successfully working within a private club environment, providing visionary leadership, and fostering member satisfaction.
3 to 5 years of experience as a PGA Professional preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiarity with golf club management software including electronic tee time systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and tournament/event
management software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for golf and delivering exceptional golfing experience.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
$48,000.00 – $66,000.00 per year.
