Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Auburn, Indiana is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work with others. The typical work week will consist of two days off (inc Sat. or Sun.) and five days on with the responsibility of opening or closing. Playing golf with the membership and participating in section events is encouraged.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Assists in the coordination of tournaments and special events.
• Manages the daily opening and closing of golf operations.
• Manages Tee Sheet and ensures proper billing of all golfers.
• Manages and supervises the outside operations consisting of cart staff and rangers.
• Assists with pro shop inventory control system.
• Manage the GHIN handicapping system for members.
• Interpret USGA Rules of Golf.
• Interpret and enforce Club policies, rules and regulations.
• Remain knowledgeable about all upcoming Club events.
• Perform starter and ranger duties when needed.
• Provide private and group lessons.
• Play golf with the membership on a regular basis.
• Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
High school graduate.
Previous experience at a green grass facility.
Basic club repair.
Knowledgeable about the golf swing and the understanding of club fitting as it relates to the golf swing.
Proficient in major computer software programs including Microsoft, electronic tee sheets and handicapping.
