Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Chapel Hill, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist with the management of the daily golf operations including, but not limited to, management of outside operations, junior golf clinics, golf instruction, merchandising and golf shop operations, and tournament operations. The position will promote excellence for all members and guests in each aspect of the golf operation.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide exemplary service to both members and guests of the club. Be a team player with a positive attitude while keeping a high level of service at the forefront of each member and guest interaction.
• Work in tandem with the other professional staff to provide lessons, clinics, and club fittings, in addition to assisting with club repair-related jobs.
• Assist the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Lead Assistant Golf Professionals in the management and execution of the tournament schedule.
• Possess knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf and GHIN handicap system.
• Assist with keeping the golf course properly marked for daily play and club events.
• Oversee outside operation staff on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with the ordering, receiving, and displaying of all merchandise.
• Maintain a clean and engaging golf shop.
• Ensure all fitting carts, demo clubs, and rental clubs are inventoried and kept to standard.
• Provide lessons to all segments of the membership, including juniors, ladies, men, and seniors.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, written and verbal communications, with timely follow-up on tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a service-oriented and positive demeanor.
Experience in a private club or other high-end, luxury property or resort is preferred.
Must have knowledge and experience in the game of golf, including club fitting and teaching.
Experience in retailing, marketing, customer service, and guest relations preferred.
Ability to learn and gain proficiency in club office equipment and software programs, as well as standard Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Active classification within the PGA of America is required. If not already a PGA Member, the candidate must actively pursue their membership.
