Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Lothian, Maryland is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist the Head Golf Professional in managing the facility’s day-to-day golf operations. All position duties shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.

Specific Responsibilities – include but are not limited to:
• Assists with golfer check-in and fee collection; controls and manages play.
• Assists with all opening and closing procedures.
• Coordinates all tournament operations under the supervision of the Head Golf Professional.
• Manages tournament operations including course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow-up.
• Conducts individual lessons and group clinics.
• Assists with men’s, women’s, and junior golf events and programs.
• Assists in Player Development programs using PGA tools and resources.
• Assists in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales.
• Professionally conducts oneself and maintains a professional image at all times.
• Assists in coordinating golf activities with other departments.
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, the rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations.
• Acts as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market.
• Service and customer-focused attitude.
• Experienced in written and oral business communications.
• Remains up-to-date on customer relationship management tactics and strategies.
• Utilizes the resources of PGA player development programs.
• Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, tournament management, and database.
• Maintains and promotes a positive professional image within the community.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Understanding of membership and guest needs.
• Assists with player check-in, internal controls, and manages play.
• Coordinates all tournament and league play from sign-up to scoring completion.
• Assists with training of support staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year.
