2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Denver, Colorado is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Responsible for supporting the Agronomy Team with the golf courses and club grounds. They are responsible for chemical and fertilizer applications. The position will work directly with the Assistant Superintendent, under the direction of the Superintendent and Director of Grounds. The position is expected to take a lead role in the Grounds Department and step in to make decisions when other managers are unavailable. Employees are punctual, good communication skills, have a good attitude, a strong work ethic and enjoy a team atmosphere.

Requirements:
Obtain or in the process of a degree or certificate in Agronomy, Plants & Soil Sciences, Turfgrass or related fields.
Ability to accurately calibrate chemical application equipment. (Sprayers and Spreaders).
Ability to effectively communicate with staff, supervisors and members.
At least 1-year chemical application experience including spraying.
At least 3 years golf course experience with progressing responsibilities.
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and irrigation technologies.
Leadership skills are highly important in this role.
Mathematical ability to accurately calculate proper rate for chemical applications.
Pesticide Applicators License or Ability to obtain applicators license within 90 days of hire date.
Small crew (3-5 persons) supervision experience.

Compensation:
$24 – $27 per hour.

401k after 1 year of employment ( Up to 5% company match).
