Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Highlands Ranch, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The role of the position is to provide outstanding customer service while assisting with all aspects of the operation. This position requires hands-on assistance in both the golf shop and outside services operations. The successful candidate needs good time management and leadership skills, and demonstrate the ability to process information quickly. Individuals will be able to supplement their income through instruction with opportunities to assist with multiple programs, including junior golf, beginner golf clinics and establishing their own programs and client base.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for golf operation in absence of Head Golf Professional.
• Supervise and manage all golf shop and outside service employees in a professional manner.
• Daily tasks may include: booking tee times, customer check-in, picking the range, washing carts, opening or closing of business, assisting customers with needs and or handling of customer issues.
• May be required to work any shift and hours to avoid a staff shortage.
• Responsible for loss prevention, including accurate handling of all payment transactions and ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain and control operations of Point of Sale computers and hardware, software and office equipment.
• Organize and coordinate with Head Golf Professional on tournaments, leagues and associations.
• Learn, train and monitor the opening and closing procedures for the golf operation.
• Communicate and coordinate with all staff and other department heads on regular basis.
• Communicate with guests to receive feedback and build customer loyalty.
• Assist in overall supervision, training, motivation and scheduling of the staff, including Point of Sale computer, equipment operation techniques and safety procedures.
• Create and monitor monthly tee sheets to maximize play.
• Work to meet goals related to budget, payroll, effective staff schedules and cost of goods sold.
• Monitor staffing to ensure the facility is staffed properly to run an effective operation, maximizing payroll control while maintaining quality customer service.
• Assist in maintaining a profitable merchandise operation consistent with clientele.
• Responsible for enforcing and abiding by all company policies.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be in good physical health and able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Set and maintain a high standard of facility cleanliness, safety and professionalism.
• Provide customers with a variety of instructional options that will be given in a high quality and professional manner.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Requirements:
PGA Level 1 Associate or higher preferred.
Extensive knowledge of tee sheet and POS software (Club Prophet Systems or similar preferred).
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows functions.
Extensive knowledge of Golf Genius preferred.
Strong ability to communicate both verbally and written.
Demonstrate positive and professional attitude at all times.

Compensation:
$52,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year.
