Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Springfield, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Must embody the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and diplomacy, and be a highly active, engaged, and visible presence with both members and staff. He or she will be a “go-to” individual who takes pride in the operation and be a very visible and engaged member of the professional staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the golf operations and beyond. This person will embrace being a leader of the golf facility. They will be expected to build a legacy of developing and mentoring their staff to create a culture where young aspiring professionals will want to be driven to work for the club. He or she will assist in the management of all areas of the golf operation and work closely with the Director of Golf. The position will promote an exceptional golf experience and provide creative services and programs for all members and guests.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the professional staff in executing all major club events using Golf Genius for tournament administration.
• Take part in an active PGA Jr. League program and Junior summer camps.
• Apply your skills in teaching and coaching as well as club fitting.
• Maintain effective communication between all team members regarding course operations. Recognize and celebrate team members’ success and mentor staff development.
• Perform club repair as requested.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Strong communication and correspondence skills
• Must know Golf Genius.

Requirements:
Must be a passionate leader who recognizes and respects the contributions of volunteer members and staff of all levels.
Must be capable of both guiding and holding members and staff accountable to achieving and maintaining high standards.
