Outside Golf Services Director
Golf Course in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts is looking for an Outside Golf Services Director.

Position Overview:
Be the first point of contact for our members and guests. This person is responsible for ensuring world-class service, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and flawless execution of daily play.

Essential functions:
• Personality, Outgoing, Positive, and Personable – The Director of Outside Operations will be responsible for knowing all the members and guests. In addition to calling all members by name, the successful candidate will build professional relationships to create an atmosphere that members have come to cherish.
• Leadership – Manage an outside staff of approximately 15 team members. Recruit, train, and monitor the performance of outgoing positive individuals to ensure the driving range, daily play, and shuttle services are best in class. This includes creating weekly schedules, managing payroll for the outside services, and creating standard operating procedures that are in line with the clubs’ values and expectations.
• Daily Play – This position will proactively manage daily play by ensuring members and guests are greeted upon arrival, and aware of their starting hole, time, and mode of transportation. Work with the golf professional staff, the retail staff, and our tee time software to ensure the accuracy of each tee time is recorded.
• Golf Cart Fleet Maintenance and Oversight – Wellesley maintains 72 golf carts, and multi-passenger transportation & carry all vehicles in order to provide the highest level of services to our membership. It is essential all vehicles are representative of our club and kept in the best operational condition.
• Caddie Program – Continue to build on the successful caddie program Wellesley Country Club has grown accustomed to. Organize daily caddie play and proactively engage members to facilitate the caddie experience. Partner with the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund to continue to foster and develop those relationships.
• Tournament Operations – Wellesley Country Club has a full calendar of golf tournaments and events. The Director of Outside Services will be extremely knowledgeable of all events, and the details and will promote upcoming events.
• Bag Room – Wellesley stores over 500 golf bags throughout the season. Managing the cleanliness and welfare of all members and guest clubs is essential to the success of the golf operation.
• Practice Facilities – Our members love to practice and ensuring staff is in place to create a world-class practice facility is important to our membership.
• Club Repair – Wellesley regrips approximately 700 clubs a year.
