Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Delmar, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position will ensure the daily care, maintenance, and renovations to the golf course are are done at the highest level of quality in conjunction with Superintendent and the Director of Agronomy. This is a full-time year-round position.

Duties:
• Schedule and manage daily golf course practices.
• Work hand in hand with the superintendent to develop and implement an agronomic program.
• Apply fertilizer and plant protectant products.
• Maintain and monitor irrigation system.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff in season with safety and accountability being the primary goal.
• Lead and direct teams for projects and tasks.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment related to in house golf course improvement projects.
• Operate equipment including but not limited to mowers, tractors, aerators, blowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, and snow removal equipment.

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in golf course maintenance.
Turf Management education preferred.
Must obtain New York State Pesticide Technician License within 6 months.
Must be able to perform physical work on a daily basis.
Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
Must be able to work in a variety of climates including extreme heat and cold.

Compensation:
$55,000 – $80,000 per year.
