2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Snowmass Village, Colorado is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Supports the Senior Assistant and Golf Course Superintendent through daily golf course maintenance.

Essential Functions:
Leadership
• Promotes a positive work culture.
• Managed golf course maintenance staff on weekends and led small projects.

Golf Functions
• Directly involved with the daily golf course set-up activities.
• Involved with irrigation maintenance and repair.
• Responsible for calibration and application of chemicals and fertilizers.
• Manage daily course moisture using a POGO meter.
• Track data and seasonal fertility with the Greenkeeper app

Administration
• Administer proper safety training and briefings to staff when training in equipment and general course operation.
• Protect the Snowmass Club’s interest through an awareness of and compliance with all applicable regulations, including course and company policies.

Other Functions:
• Able to evaluate the course from the player’s perspective.
• Snow removal during winter months.
• Assist equipment manager with equipment setup, repair, and maintenance.
• GCSAA member preferred.

Requirements:
A degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant, or soil science preferred.
One turf management internship is preferred.
Desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent.
Valid driver’s license.
Must obtain and maintain state-sanctioned pesticide applicator license within 6 months of entry into this job.
Knowledge of irrigation, including watering practices, irrigation systems, pumps, wells, and automatic controls and drainage.

Compensation:
$28.00 – $36.00 per hour.
