Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Grand Rapids, Michigan is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position will involve all aspects of the golf operation including but not limited to: tee sheet management, merchandising, tournament operations, great customer service, marketing, public relations, teaching, playing, and outside operations as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, and communicate well. This candidate must be committed to providing exceptional service, and will look to progress in our operation.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing the highest level of customer service and hospitality to all members and guests.
• Executing weekly leagues.
• Coordination of approximately 40 outside events.
• Supervising golf shop attendants, outside golf service staff (range/cart/bag drop/bag room attendants, starter and rangers).
• Train staff, supervise, coach and encourage team members.
• Participate in and help lead weekly and monthly staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation and implementations of policies and procedures for golf services and products.
• Pro Shop management – including selecting merchandise, ordering, receiving, pricing, managing inventory, monthly inventory reconciliation, building/changing displays, placing of special orders.
• Creating signage and promotional materials.
• Inspect daily (at minimum), golf shop and clubhouse perimeter areas for cleanliness and maintenance of standards.
• Manage all golf operation supplies, including scorecards, pencils, tees, etc.
• Manage cart fleet to include proper cleaning program, battery maintenance, work-orders, and rotation program.
• Working with Lightspeed point of sale system and managing a tee sheet
• Dedication to and expert monitoring of pace of play.

Requirements:
Prior experience working in the golf industry a plus.
Detail oriented.
Proficiency in communication of all kinds Ex. Speech, email, phone.
Coordination of golf tournaments from setup to execution.
Organized and efficient with completion of delegated tasks.
Basic accounting.
Time management and scheduling aptitude.
Problem resolution skills.
Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with all facets of our guests.
Established track record of providing superior customer service.
Excellent marketing and promotional skills.
Strong computer skills.
Being adept in computer functions including Microsoft, Excel, Publisher and Email.

Compensation:
$41,800.00 – $44,000.00 per year.
