Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in New Orleans, Louisiana is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Oversees maintenance of turfgrass and trees on property.
• Daily monitoring staff’s productivity.
• Assists with daily staff scheduling.
• Moisture management.
• Irrigation troubleshooting and repair.
• Fertilizer application and calibration.
• Pesticide application.
• Assist in mixing and application of fertilizers and chemicals.
• Must be able to carryout assignments as directed by the golf course superintendent.
• Continue to train and cross-train staff on safety and equipment operation.
• Recording daily weather, chemical and fertilizer applications, and work hours.

Requirements:
Must have working knowledge on turfgrass cultivation practices, daily golf course maintenance and course setup.

Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree, Certificate in agronomy, turfgrass or related field.
Must be detail-oriented.
Strong communication skills.
Planning and organizational ability.
Willing to work weekends and holidays.
Obtain a Louisiana Pesticide license within 90 days of employment.

Compensation:
$55,000 – $65,000 per year.
End of the year bonus potential, uniforms, PTO, health insurance, 401K with match after 1 year of employment.
