Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Pittsfield, Massachusetts is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and fellow assistant to oversee daily golf course maintenance operations, staff development, and long-term turf health initiatives. This role offers hands-on leadership experience, exposure to advanced agronomic programs, and a clear path for professional growth. The Club is in the early planning stages for a complete replacement of the irrigation system.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in daily planning and execution of course maintenance operations
• Lead, train, and motivate maintenance staff
• Participate in chemical and fertilizer applications and recordkeeping
• Monitor turf conditions and assist with agronomic decision-making
• Support irrigation system operation, repair, and troubleshooting
• Assist with tournament preparation and course setup
• Ensure safety compliance and best management practices

Requirements
• 1-2 years as an Intern, AIT or 2nd Assistant
• A degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Compensation
$65,000 – $75,000 per year.
