Head Golf Professional
Country Club in Danville, Kentucky is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The Country Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Golf Professional to lead our golf operations and deliver an outstanding experience to our members and guests. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the golf department, including staff leadership, golf instruction, tournament coordination, golf shop operations, and member engagement. The Head Golf Professional will play a key role in upholding the club’s values and traditions while enhancing the overall golf experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Golf Operations
• Oversee day-to-day golf operations, including tee times, pace of play, and starter/ranger services.
• Supervise and schedule golf staff, including assistants and outside service personnel.
• Ensure all members and guests receive high-quality service and hospitality.
• Enforce and communicate club rules and policies professionally.

Golf Instruction & Member Relations
• Provide individual and group instruction to golfers of all skill levels.
• Develop and lead player development programs, including junior golf and clinics.
• Build strong relationships with members, promoting increased engagement and participation.

Tournaments & Events
• Plan, organize, and execute club tournaments, member events, and outside outings.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of events.
• Utilize scoring software and maintain accurate event records and results.

Golf Shop Operations
• Manage all aspects of the golf shop, including buying, merchandising, inventory control, and visual presentation.
• Train staff on product knowledge, customer service, and retail procedures.
• Monitor sales and ensure profitability.

Financial Management
• Assist in developing and managing the annual golf operations budget.
• Monitor revenue and expenses across golf operations, instruction, and merchandise.
• Prepare financial reports as needed and recommend improvements.

Leadership & Staff Development
• Hire, train, and mentor golf staff, creating a motivated and service-driven team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and encourage professional development.
• Foster a culture of excellence, respect, and teamwork.

Requirements
• PGA Member or ability to join PGA within 90 days.
• Minimum 3–5 years of golf industry experience.
• Experience in instruction, retail, and tournament management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of golf technology platforms such as Golf Genius, GHIN, and POS systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional member service.

Compensatioin
$55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year.
