Assistant Boys Golf Coach
High school in Kalama, Washington is looking for an Assistant Boys Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
• Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises.
• Assesses students’ skills, monitors students during competition and practice.
• Provides determining game strategy.
• Follows established procedures in the event of an injury.
• Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators.
• Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security.
• Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach.
• Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times.
• Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
• Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
• Models non discriminatory practices in all activities.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Reasoning ability.
• Ability to communicate with high school students, parents, coaches and staff.
• Must complete SafeSchools and WIAA required training prior to the beginning of the sport’s season.

Requirements:
CPR/First Aid card.
Ability to speak effectively to administration, staff, students and parents.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.
Skills in reading, understanding and following safety rules and regulations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with students and staff.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of District requirements and Board policies.
Ability to work independently and to communicate proactively.
High school diploma or GED.
Per WIAA – minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age.
Previous coaching experience preferred.
Reasoning ability.

Compensation:
$2,845 – $3,300 per season.
