Outside Golf Operations Manager
Golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida is looking for an Outside Golf Operations Manager.

Position Overview:
Leadership for the day-to-day operations of Outside Golf Operations. Oversees the management and performance of opening and/or closing, starting, rangering and tee management. The supervision of golf carts and practice facilities and the supervision and training of the bag room staff. Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise line employees in Outside Golf Operations. Responsible for the coordination and evaluation of Outside Golf Operations. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure excellent customer service in Outside Golf Operations.
• Oversees and enforces golf operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory, and resources.
• Oversees the supervision of outside golf operations personnel.
• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Orders and maintain inventories and supplies associated with golf activities.
• Assists the Director of Golf with hiring, training, performance coaching and disciplining of outside golf operations employees within all approved club policies.
• Follows budgeted guidelines delegated from the Director of Golf.
• Successfully communicates guidelines for outside golf operations employees to understand the service standards and procedures.
• Conduct annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to standard operating procedures.
• Act as a leader to all outside golf operations employees and often the first point of contact for members and guests upon their arrival.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Director of Golf.

Operations:
• Supports an innovative tournament schedule and golf activities program. Schedules and leads daily staff meetings.
• Ensures all team members are informed about current and upcoming club events, and communicate accurate information when members inquire.
• Maintains a close working relationship with the golf course a maintenance personnel, and other department heads to ensure an effective, fluid inter-departmental operation.

Membership:
• Receives and resolves members inquiries and complaints. Updates Director of Golf concerning and any issues
• Addresses member and member guest concerns and resolves problems immediately
• Ensures a high level of visibility and professional interaction occurs with members and their guests.

Requirements:
Associate degree (A.A.) or bachelor’s degree (B.A.) plus four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PGA Class A professional in good standing is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and personable.
Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations. Self-motivated with the desire to promote and market.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
