Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Kennewick, Washington is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Support customer and outside tournament operations, service programs, and golf shop operations. The position will promote a consistent “golf experience,” and provide highly professional services and programs to all customers/guests. The Professional can expect to be supported by an experienced team that places a high value on the employee experience.

Duties:
• Lead the golf shop crew in an efficient, high-quality, service-oriented manner, including in the day-to-day operations, home club and outside tournament group operations, assistance in the merchandising/inventory maintenance for the Golf Shop, provide instruction for juniors and adults and lead/run golf leagues hosted by the Club.
• Develop and support innovative tournament programs and leagues that service all customer segments.
• Oversee the reservations system, starting, and monitoring play.
• Assist in training, supervising and motivating the staff to meet facility objectives, especially in providing exceptional customer service.
• Promoting and operating the facility to drive revenue.
• Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, club care, lockers, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate proper controls.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Deliver golf instruction and golfer development programs for all customer segments.

Requirements:
PGA associate preferred.
One to three years of experience in golf, retail, or other relevant hospitality settings.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Experience instructing golfers of all levels.
Experience with PGA Jr. League.
Experience with running leagues.
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility, and tournament operations.
Supervisory skills with the ability to train and motivate others.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate positive and energetic behavior.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the club and community.
Demonstrate organizational, planning, and prioritization.
Experienced computer user including Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in email, internet, Golf Genius, etc.

Compensation:
$20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
