Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in La Quinta, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Plays a key role in supporting the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf in upholding the club’s mission, core values, service standards, and overall objectives. This high-visibility role requires a strong presence both in the golf shop and on the course, along with exceptional communication and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking team member committed to excellence.

Duties:
• Customer Service – Provide the highest level of customer service to Tradition members and their guests with special attention to detail. Go above and beyond to ensure that every club encounter is a memorable experience. Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Integrity – Represent Tradition Golf Club with integrity and professionalism at all times
Inventory – Post invoices, receive, price, and sale, maintain proper inventory levels, and work with vendors to receive program discounts. Keep rental and demo club inventory.
• Teamwork – Foster a cooperative and supportive team environment among all staff.
• Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
• Daily Operations – Assist members throughout the golf experience, including but not limited to booking tee times, taking special order information, tournament preparation, provide lessons and clinics etc. Complete all of the required golf shop opening & closing procedures on a daily basis.
• Image – Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Club Rules – Interpret and enforce club and golf policies, rules, and regulations.
• PGA – Be an active participant in the local PGA chapter as well as pursuing Class “A” membership.
• Outside Service – Oversee outside service operations and make sure they are performing at peak efficiency. Ensure procedures are being followed and that the process is running smoothly.
• Play Management – Ensure the first tee is running on time, and that members are playing their round at the allowed pace of play time of 4 hours and 15 minutes. Make sure the tee time reservation system reflects what happened on the golf course throughout the day.
• Golf Carts – Have a basic understanding of golf cart mechanics to help diagnose specific golf cart issues. Assist members with cart repair using our venders. Follow up with pricing and time frame.
• Brand Standards – Follow all brand standards and guidelines when creating golf content, including scorecards, ordering uniforms, etc.

Requirements:
Minimum of undergraduate degree.
Must have experience working at a private country club.
Spoken and written English skills.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Class “A” PGA preferred; must be actively pursuing Class A and in good standing.

Compensation:
$25.00 per hour.
